We’ve been family owned and operated since 1946. Three generations of Friedman’s have been at the helm of our independent, locally owned, family-run business. Is the Home Improvement business in our blood? We like to think so. We were literally Born to Build, but we also love that working in this business has been a choice and an incredible honor for our entire family. The good - in general, more knowledgeable floor help than the big box competitor (anyone else notice how at HD if you ask someone where something is, 90% of the time they have to look at a handheld device?) Frequent sales. Flexible shipping and returns. The disappointing - I've spent over $15k in the last year and have an account. Yet, I get quizzed about my identity when checking out, with an account #, and chastised on the rare occasion I've walked in with an item to be returned w/o declaring it when I enter the store. The best home improvement center in Mendocino County. Its so civilized compared to the big orange thing. We are so lucky to have a Friedmans near us.
