Always Leave Frustrated I really think their tagline should be, "If you need it, we don't have it!" Every single time I go, I leave without something that they should have. My Daughter Complained about their Rudeness I sent my daughter to pick up some paint and she stated to me that the store was dirty, it was impossible to get help and when she asked for help they ignored her. Too bad for a store that once had good service. They just can't compete on service and their paints aren't as good as the Home Depot down the street.

Before there was the "Depot"...there was Friedmans! There longtime slogan for years was, "If we don't have it, you don't need it!" - and my experience has been that this is true! Not nearly so overwhelming as the big chain warehouse stores, from sinks to nuts & bolts, lumber & lighting fixtures - they have it. Not to mention their beautiful, locally stocked gardenening center. Locally owned, operated and loved for decades. Catch the hot dogs with sauerkraut on your way in or out!

Jim I have been a customer of Friedmans Sonoma for several years and since the remodel the selection and presentation of the stuff they sell has improved a lot. I've noticed recently the service and the wait at the checkout has also improved making the experience more efficient. Compared to Home Depot in Napa this is such a much more pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. No loud forklifts and the employees approach you with a smile wanting to help.

Friedman's Home Improvement ROCKS! We have a store (Stardust.com) and shop at Friedman's all the time. Friedman's is a wonderful hardware store and a great alternative to Home Depot at Lowes. The service at Friedman's is pretty good. The garden store is exceptional and their prices (especially plants) beat those of the big box retailers. Also, if you check their website you will find a 10% discount coupon code under "specials". Highly recommended. Good job with the renovation as well!

Worst Hardware Store in the Universe The staff is ignorant. They are not only untrained but blow you off and say F**K YOU to the customer. When I complained to the controller DAVID PROCTOR, he told me to call. When I called it was his voice mail. The store is dirty the help is threatening, put this business to sleep, they deserve to go under. At least at the Home Depot or Lowe's they would have gotten back to you.

Good selection Friedmans is the biggest hardware and home improvement store in Sonoma. Recently they added onto the original building and now offer an even bigger inventory. We have shopped here for small things, like garden and household supplies, and larger items like decking materials. The staff are helpful and prices are reasonable. It's fun to walk around and check out what's available and should be even moreso once construction of the store is totally finished.
