A free estimate appointment was scheduled days in advance, and Carl had no common sense decency to call in ahead of time to reschedule. Hearing that "oh well I had an emergency" after reaching out to him is unprofessional because my time is as valuable as his. Carl was texted in advance to set up the appointment as he had asked to be able to add it to his calendar.
