Pretty good selection of healthy foods. I've been a health nut person for 45 years, so i know the industry. UNFORTUNATELY THEIR PRICES ARE RIDICULOUSLY HIGH, even higher than Whole Foods, also known as "Whole Paycheck." But this store should be called "Whole Retirement Fund". This is not right that they charge so much, which explains why hardly anyone is in their store. Get real, please? I only gave one star because 2 out of the 5 times I've shopped here they've given me spoiled meat do not buy their meat
Fresh Market Mobile has awesome fresh Seafood & a nice varity of frest cuts of Meats! Friendly store associates! I was being picky when buying a Tuna steak and the Seafood associate was not only patient but very helpful. This is the only place in Mobile that I have and will buy Fresh Tuna steaks and their Coconut Shrimp are amazing!
Fresh Market has the same type of upscale ambience as Whole Foods, but their prices seem to be lower overall. They have GREAT deals all the time on things... like Tuesdays, they have ground chuck and chicken breasts at a super low price and people come in just for that. They also have a lot of semi-prepared things in the meat and deli area... like already put together and you just cook or warm up. Nice employees. Dan and Jeff in the meat department are the go to guys always nice and great at helping you figure out. What meat works best with what you’re cooking.
The whole store and really love the quality of meat ... I use to shop pretty much Whole Foods for meat but have changed , twice they sold me inside skirt steak and said it was outside skirt steak , they just say anything very unreliable, untrustworthy... sorry Whole Foods you lost a good customer!!
I asked an employee, Nancy, to help me find a certain goat cheese as I am lactose-intolerant. She also showed me other cheeses, including cow cheeses, that are lactose-free, such as Jarlsburg and Reggiano. She told me more than I ever learned in 5 years of being lactose-intolerant.
Fantastic foods especially steaks, seafood, pastries,and just everything in general. A bit more expensive but very much well worth it. Love their king cakes during Mardi Gras!
