French Creek taught me a new way of living. The class type sessions were so helpful in my recovery. I think of things said and exercises used to this day. I am almost two years sober and have no interest in using. While there, I had just started seeing doctors because my liver was shutting down. I couldn't do stairs and I had to be transported to the hospital several times to have my abdomin drained. My medicine schedule was different then everyone elses and the team was so helpful and kind. The way they treat staff and clients is horrible. Poor coordination and terrible management.
They don't tell you that they'll pick you up and drive you out to a small town in Pennsylvania - and won't drive you back home unless you finish your time there. So if you come here be committed to staying or have a back up plan when you decide to leave because they aren't buying you a bus ticket back home. (I just wanted to warn you folks who are looking at recovery centers to attend.) No cell phones allowed, smoking is allowed outside, old facilities, awful food, weak coffee, cold hard plastic chairs, lots of groups so you... read more
