Stargazing at Fremont Peak was revelatory. After a ranger guided us through constellations, I peered through a telescope at Saturn’s rings — they were real, thin and luminous against the black. The Milky Way arched overhead, dense with stars I’d never seen in the city. The air was crisp, and the only sounds were crickets and whispered awe. It made me feel both tiny and connected to the cosmos

It's beautiful. 1st time i took my daughter up there, on top was a small dirt devil. That little tornado had multiple butterflies in it. Looked magical.
You feel like you're standing on top of the world. And significantly closer to the Milky Way. In addition to the multiple telescopes set up for the public, there are plenty of satellites, constellations and shooting stars to watch for when you're not peering into an eyepiece. Want to get a million miles away from the busyness of life, Fremont Peak Observatory awaits you (most Saturday nights).
