I had an incredibly frustrating and stressful experience with Dr. Bernstein and the Gastro Health team in Fremont. During my first appointment, I was already changed into the medical gown, ready for my examination. However, Dr. Bernstein refused to examine me. He literally said, "Why should I examine you now? I never have had the urge to write a bad review, but the billing experience here left a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t have insurance, so before scheduling my procedure, I made sure to confirm the full cost upfront. I even received a voicemail from their staff clearly stating a specific total price, which they said would include the endoscopy, biopsy, and follow-up appointment (which never happen btw).
