I’ve been a customer of Freespirit for a while now, have a RTT, awning, and awning room. It’s been everything we’ve wanted, and more. Thoughtfully designed, comfort, ease of use, and high quality. Everywhere I go people are always asking about it - and we’ve had friends purchase FSR because they’ve been impressed. I took the time to research and get feel for one of the best canopy for my Yakima HD truck rack. I bought the tailgate 180 to see if I like the quality of awning, and love it. Waited a year to ensure it last, I just bought 180's for both of truck so I dont have to take off and move around. Love it. One down fall, the $400 shipping cost which is half the cost of the awning. Worth it if the awning last for ever.
I just purchased an Aspen Lite XL from FSR and the experience has been incredibly disappointing. My tent arrived with a hole you can see through in the protective cover right out of the box. When I reached out, I was dealing directly with the owner, Ben Tewes, and his response was to tell me it was “just a scuff” and to “put a dot of glue on it.” That’s what I got after spending over $3,000 on a brand-new roof top tent and accessories.
