Freeport Tavern is close by The Freeport Tavern is a quaint little restaurant that will also host your local event. My work has there end of year party there and it is always wonderful. My one complaint is that the bar staff is slow. It takes a long time to get a drink there.
Freeport Tavern is Good It's a pretty decent place. The menu is small. The staff is awesome. Some of the food is over priced (steak tips) but then you have ribs that are amazing and super cheap. It's in a pretty good location...right next to Boston Bowl. It seems a little upper class when you walk in but don't be fooled it's very casual. Try the brunch...it's very good. Oh and two words...CORN BREAD
Freeport Tavern is worth a shot, some items hit or miss Pretty classy place. Went in originally because a friend was working there. Been there a few times since for business and for pleasure. The food is decent. Some items are pretty good (the steak tips most notably) and some are a bit mediocre (quesadillas) or just plain lousy (the pizza). Freeport Tavern is comfortable and inviting not your average tavern nice atmosphere and the menu is typical good portions and drinks aren't bad. Can get a little noisy but all and all nice place for a bite and cocktail
