I ordered jeans. They charged me, but did not deliver them. Customer service was not help; just kept saying they would deliver to my local shipper. When I went to the Fedex location there was nothing. Some time goes by... The owner of the company emailed me with a plan to make it right! Faith in humanity restored.

After trying some entry-level raw selvedge jeans from Naked & Famous and Brave Star, I decided to check out higher-end American-made denim in person. I drove from Texas to their showroom in San Juan Capistrano (conveniently near my mom's place in Oceanside) to try Freenote Cloth. I ended up buying four pairs: Wilkes Western in 14 oz raw fleck denim (indigo black selvedge from Japan with multicolor flecks) — it's a Western-style cut with an elongated front rise, regular thigh and knee, and double-needle outseam.
