Beautiful place loved it so much reminded my childhood. Visited with my wife and kid they loved it to. I will definitely re visit.
When I was deciding whether to call to book this hotel I saw the negative reviews but thought people were just difficult. I should have followed their advice. Firstly, booking is difficult. Phone only. The website is ancient and vague. When we got there, there were bugs everywhere in the check in area. We were escorted to the cabin where again there were bugs everywhere. Comfortable, clean accommodations. The historic cabins are really neat to stay in and the grounds are beautiful! Jim Freeman is kind and generous. We love visiting Freeman's and have been coming since I can remember.

This is my family’s happy place! We come here 2 or 3 times a year. Heck we rode up one day just too see the lake and to visit with the owner Jim. Such a nice person and always brining fresh towels to the cabin and asking if we need anything. Can’t wait to go back this spring.
