We recently had a postpartum stay at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, and while parts of our experience were positive, there were several serious concerns that need to be addressed. If I could give no star I would it's for the pediatrics they suck hardcore they freaked out sent my kid to mercy children's in KC and they didn't even understand why cuz she was fine and went home the next day staff at freeman were mostly rude and I even woke up after they just assessed my 1 month old after they left my room and found her whole outfit covered in pee didn't even let me know and they had to have felt it and so I would highly not recommend NICU or pediatrics to anyone. I had such a wonderful team for my birthing experience. My nurse Gina was truly an angel on this earth and encouraged me to stick with my initial desire for a VBAC when I was in a poor mental state asking for a repeat C-Section. I will forever remember her words of encouragement and be so thankful for her. The Dr’s on call, Langer and Winschitle were also both incredible and encouraging. This birthing center is ridiculous! Only allowing 2 people in the room! There is 2 sides to each family!
