Wonderful staff, delightful ambience and delicious food
Freelance Cafe & Wine Bar is gourmet This is a great place to eat before heading to the Turning Point to hear music. Great wine bar, good fancy food. Peter Kelly is a top chef, the service is fantastic and you will love the food if you like gourmet , delicious, expensive food. It's not as expensive as Xavier's and i hear its the same kitchen.
The food is excellant. Never dissapointed. BUT we were rushed by the wait staff. When we finished we were informed that they do not take Visa or Mastercard. ONLY American Express. NO signs informing you of this...just a surprise for dessert.
Stellar My daughter took me to Freelance in Piermont for my birthday. It was truly one of the best restaurants I have ever had the priviledge in which to eat. The service and food was nothing less than stellar. Would love to have the recipe for the garlic soup - it was so smooth, absolutely delicious. Will go there again next time we are in Westchester Co. PROS: Everything - service, ambience, food and drinks CONS: does not take reservations but maybe this is not a con anyway
