Sharing my experience so others know the reality of things my partner and I have had as new Freedom Boat Club members. We feel mislead and tricked, and knowing now what we know we likely would not have joined, but now its too late and we signed a contract and are committed to the large enrollment fee and a minimum of 2 months of rental. Paid $4,173 in 2021. Boats were repeatedly unsafe — damaged propellers, broken depth finders and vessels not fit for open water. Club acknowledged the issues but did nothing to make it right. My membership was paused for 2 years with no refund, no accountability, and no updated terms to guarantee seaworthy or safe vessels. They refuse to return my money. In my experience, this company took thousands and failed to deliver a safe, usable service. I’m pursuing formal action. Strongly advise others to stay away.

DO NOT JOIN!!! Total waste of money was a member for years and they raise your monthly dues all the time and many of the deckhands don't even help you. Also I heard they will terminate your membership if you complain to them. I know someone that paid over $5000 initiation fee years ago now it's way higher and they terminated his membership cause he made a simple complaint about one of the locations. He’s currently in the process of suing them.

They are one of the most horrible book clubs you can never imagine they set you up on horrible boats that don't meet standards while their employees take out the good ones and then they get you canceled after you've paid all your money just because they can do not do it
