We recently joined and are so glad that we did!! We have been busy with kids’ sports and activities, but now that they are grown it is time to spend our free time fishing and cruising. We have been able to reserve boats easily. Deckhands have been so helpful when we disembark and dock. The training gave us the tools we need to enjoy boating and stay safe! Being a long-time boat owner, I was excited about the prospect of Freedom Boat Club when I first joined. Easy access, no maintenance, etc. A dream for a boat owner. After being a member for a few years though, I can conclude it didn't work as I had hoped. Overall their system is setup in such a way that you just can't get out on the water very much unless you are open to using different locations to maximize your opportunities. Upon arrival, no one answered the dock master's phone (calls or texts). We eventually found our dock master, though. As our first time out on the water, it would have been nice to have a bit more of a rundown and checklist of where things were on the boat again. We did get that information, but only when I asked about getting the radio. We also tried to give ample about of time and notice before we came into the dock. Again, no one answered the phone (or answered any texts from us) and they also did not respond on the radio.... read more

Brennan was very welcoming for our first time launching at the Seattle, Magnolia Marina in Elliott Bay. Everything went as smooth as it was explained to us!!
