Captain Max showed us a variety of beautiful beach and dining options and provided useful and interesting info on the area, navigating the waters, and using Navionics.
Update: We visited the Pine Island Freedom Boat Club on Sunday, September 21, and Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Both check-in and check-out experiences were excellent. Billy and the two young ladies assisting us were friendly, helpful, and professional. They went above and beyond by helping us load and unload our personal items from the boat. The boat that we had on September 14 was one of the newest ones to the fleet at Pine Island, everything on the boat worked, which included both live well, radio, navigation, and also had a lot more cupholders as well as rod holders. This boat was the 23 foot Boston Whaler. We enjoyed our outing which lasted a half a day and everything function on the boat with a smooth ride and very enjoyable day with the weather. We look forward to our next trip.
We’ve had consistently negative experiences with Craig and Dave at the Pineland Freedom Boat Club. Their demeanor is unfriendly, and they consistently demonstrate a lack of basic customer service skills. Despite our extensive boating experience across various marinas in California, Florida, and locally through our Freedom Boat Club membership, we’ve never encountered such unprofessional behavior.
