I am thankful I was able to attend Freed! My dad, brother, aunt, granddad, and 2 great uncles, all went here so it was inevitable that I attend and I would not trade a single minute of it!

Business response:

We are so thankful for our FHU family. Thank you for choosing to be part of it!

Though the friends I met were great and the teachers were friendly and approachable and I made memories I'll always cherish, I feel as if the policies are very controlling. We shouldn't have to deal with a curfew or explain why we're going off campus for the weekend. One of the main reasons I left was because of how they tried to monitor everyone's every single action. If you're anything but Church of Christ it seems that they look down on you or act like something is wrong with you. But I feel as if I've ranted enough.

I was in the Graduate program for Counseling and graduated in 2004. I can't say enough about my time and experiences gained while at Freed Hardeman. The Graduate Counseling program is top notch and led me to my current profession. The professors take great pride in their students and helping them through the program. Keep up the great work Dr. Mike Cravens and staff!

Business response:

Thanks for the kind words, Barry!

While no school is without its challenges, faults, and struggles, I wouldn't have had it any other way. I grew as a person through a lot of difficulties-- which is the only way a person is able to really grow. The faculty is strongly Biblically minded and this is perhaps the most important quality I appreciated about Freed-Hardeman. I made several friendships that I continue on until this day.

Business response:

Thank you, Corinne!

I could not imagine being anywhere else except FHU. In one year alone, I have been given so many new opportunities at Freed that would not have happened anywhere else. Freed is not my home away from home- Freed is my home. It is where my heart lies. I am surrounded by my brothers and sisters in Christ no matter where I go. This is a church of Christ school, so do not be butt hurt when your religious views are challenged. It's very conservative, small, family oriented, and passionate. If you have not yet decided on a school o... read more

Thanks, Kaley!
