The one star is for Rueben who finally just fixed my dishwasher after months of waiting. My parents have been customers of Fred's for decades so when it was time to upgrade my dishwasher and stove, of course I went with them. I had to wait almost a full year for the dishwasher and it stopped working properly within the first couple of years. Still under warranty, I called to have it fixed. What a nightmare dealing with Fred's. I called to request a service call for our double oven on Jan. 24, 2023. We had this same failure a few years ago and I told the scheduler which part was needed. An appointment was made for February 10th. On that morning they called and said that they didn't have anyone available to come due to illness or whatever. Had issues with a microwave sparking for over 3 months, finally went to Whirlpool directly myself. Fred’s service was horrible, no one would call back, no attempt to make right or fix the problem and make right. I contacted our sales rep, Tim the service department manager, and I will not get any more appliances from them.

We purchased and entire suite of high end kitchen appliances and were highly encouraged to purchase the $1600 warranty for peace of mind. My 4 year old refrigerator stopped cooling in January. It took almost 3 weeks to get a repair man to come and look at it. He said that he had to order a new compressor kit. Turns out that he did, but a week after his visit. I am a long term customer and have bought an entire kitchen of high end appliances as well as washer/dryer. Recently, our microwave developed a loose door that occasionally required us to reclose the door to get the microwave to function. After a 4 month wait that included a visit by a repairman who identified a worn out door sensor, another repairman showed up and replaced the sensor. BEWARE SERVICE DEPARTMENT - Joe Buckenmeyer the "Best" repair guy they have. Lied about my LG refrigerator not being repairable. He looked at it from 15 feet away and declared in unrepairable. I asked him to look at it and he put a gage on it and showed me zero freon in the system. But the fridge was still cold and would not be if it had no freon. I bought $20,000 worth of appliances from Freds. They do not work. I have had 4 separate visits from the service department come out. One told me my $8000 Thermador refrigerator was built cheaply. He couldnt fix it. The next guy replaced the same part and said that it was working. He left before I could check and its not. I have called the store manager several times--He doesnt return calls.
