Lorene & Anthony We cannot say enough about Dr. Grau and the staff at Fredon Animal Hospital. We brought our Boxer Holly to them in March 2012 after our prior vet serously missed a foriegn body in her abdomen. Dr. Grau and Dr Sharp performed unbelievable surgery to remove the object. The results were surprizingly good but our poor Holly gave up her fight this week. We cannot express how greatful we are that Dr Grau and her staff gave us those 6 months with Holly. Absolutely the best Veternairian Hospital I can not say enough about Dr. Grau and her staff! They were wonderful to me and my parrotlet - Baby. I called them that my bird was lying on the bottom of the cage and they told me to bring her right in. It turned out she was egg bound. For such a tiny little bird this is even more dangerous. Dr. Grau did X-rays and extracted the egg. Unfortunately, 2 days later the same thing happened and Dr. Grau was there for her again. Great Place, Nice People, Cost Effective! I had some not so great experienecs at some other local veterinarians over the past several years (long time pet owner). Recently was referred to Fredon Animal Hospital from a friend who works in the field. I changed vets and have had nothing but a great experience at Fredon Animal Hospital. Dr. Sharp is great and the staff is pretty friendly. They were extremely accomdating to my schedule and very patient with me. Thank you Fredon Animal Hospital.
KILLED MY CAT OREO Unfortunately this review is not positive, On 6/22/2011 , I brought my cat (Oreo) to Fredon. Oreo had a sore on his nose that formed a scab but wouldn't heal because he kept rubbing his nose. Linda Grau was on vacation and Dr, Steven Soergel was filling in. Oreo was given a steroid shot and a prescription for 125 mg of CLAVAMOX. At the time I did not know that the correct dosage for cats is 62.5mg twice a day (Pfizer states this) so basically I was giving Oreo a double dosage. I noticed that the sore would... read more
Go to Fredon NOT to Newton Animal Hospital FREDON IS MUCH BETTER THAN NEWTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL My experience at Newton animal Hospital was Very Bad Treatment for spay and a $533 bill at Newton Animal HospitalAt Newton I had a 7am spay appointment. I called at 4pm , they said she wasn't even going into surgery yet. She didn't eat since 5pm the night before. 24 hours without food! Dr. Grau and staff I lost a cat when she went in to get fixed. So when I decided to have my dogs neutered I was scared. Dr.Grau and the staff at Fredon were wonderful and treated me and my dogs like royalty. Thank you. Aggie & Zelda
