I had the privilege of following Dr. Frederick Nitta as a student NP for the past six months. Dr. Nitta delivered my third and most recent baby, and provided care for me through a miscarriage right before that. I went to the ER when I started having miscarriage symptoms and they brushed me off, I went straight to Dr nitta and he confirmed I was going through a termination of pregnancy. Not only was this a horrific and emotional time for me, but I also had a long and brutal miscarriage. Dr.Nita is amazing! He is heaven sent, he recently saved my life!! I had very bad pre-eclampsia which resulted in congestive heart failure, which Hilo Hospital misdiagnosed as pneumonia days before seeing Dr. Nita. Dr nitta delivered my first child. Worst experience of my life! Induced labor. after 6 hrs nurse called him to let him know I was ready.he showed up at the hospital irritable and rude like he didn’t want to be there, he was super cold and rough . performed an unnecessary incision before I even tried or began to push my child out. he took a scissors and decided it was ok to cut me from my behind to my front with no warning or explanation as to why .leaving me with a condition that has ruined my life. Seems to think it’s his way or the high way. Loves to yell at you for any little thing. I have never seen such an arrogant Doctor. Loves to smoke cigarettes with his employees , and some workers are nice, and some are so sassy. I heard about him , but I didn’t believe it. Until my third visit. I thought I was in the twilight zone. I walked out of his office feeling verbally abused , and I had an anxiety attack. Never went back and I never will.
