Fred Hutch is the absolute best. They’ve saved my life twice, and every single person I’ve interacted with has been so kind. They provide access to cutting-edge clinical trials and world class doctors. Every nurse I’ve talked to says they invest in their education, which is likely why all of the employees are so engaged and helpful. There are many people working here who were treated here themselves or had family members who were, which is a testament to what a fantastic environment it is.
Aurora at the lab is extremely kind helpful and compassionate. She accommodated a non-cancer related external lab order after the lab that I was supposed to visit unexpectedly closed for the day. As it was Sunday this was my only option (I had called nearly every lab in the area). Not only did they accommodate me, Aurora took interest in my case and I was treated like an actual person, not just a number.
This was our first visit to Fred Hutch Cancer Center, and our first impression was very positive. The building offers valet parking for $4, and it was easy to access the main lobby. The medical staff was professional, friendly, and welcoming. The only downside was that it took a while to get checked in, but overall, we had a good experience.
If I could give zero stars I would. After my loved one was referred to Fred hutch for a stem cell transplant we went through with a consultation with the transplant team and were told that my loved one was eligible for transplant. We went through testing to be matched with an unrelated donor, were told that a donor was found and her transplant was scheduled for August 19th.
