Amazing amazing amazing Thankyou so much to the lad from here who rescued us last night by absolute chance! Last night the car broke down and we got recovered off someone who clearly did not know what the hell they were doing! One of Fred Hendersons reccy mechs was actually in the backed up traffic as our recovery mechanic, who was provided by the A.A, absolutely obliterated the car trying to get it on his truck. His clear, practical advice ensured I chose the right car for my needs, and the mechanics went above and beyond to prepare it efficiently in a 24hr period. Travelling 300 miles round trip is always worth it for the smooth, reliable service from a family-run dealership founded in January 1973, celebrating its 52nd anniversary in 2025, with over five decades of experience.
I have known this firm for many years and I should have written this review ages ago. We have purchased cars from them, serviced our cars with them and had them repair cars when needed. I cannot recommend more highly. The staff are fabulous, communicate well and are honest with you at all times. Chris Baker is brilliant to deal with and is a credit to the company. But David Henderson and his whole team are awesome.

Wanted to share my great experience with the Fred Henderson garage. They arranged recovery from Durham city centre within 30 minutes at 8pm. They then repaired the car at a fair price by 4pm the next day. Can't beat that!
