Spent 3 beautiful days on Aqua Days, a Leopard 44 catamaran. Wow! Wonderful boat with ample space. 4 double cabins, 4 bathrooms, 3 entertainment spaces and high-speed internet. Aqua Days has a large front door that, when open, lets in ample cooling breeze and makes it easy to move from front to back. The western coast of K'gari (Fraser Island) is beautiful. We will be back on Aqua Days one day soon, I hope.
We have just gotten back from a 3 night 4 day self charter on Alida along the west side of Fraser Island. There were plenty of whales, dolphins and turtles to see. Boat was amazing, it Handled the sudden change of weather very well. The linen looked like we were staying in a 5 star motel. Aldia had sauce, cooking utensils and everything you could ever need in the kitchen. The communication between Scott and the team have been amazing. We highly recommend and cant wait to plan another one.
Scott and the friendly team at Fraser Island Boat Charters were incredible, and so easy to work with. They were more than happy to accommodate our special requests and went the extra mile to make our time aboard extra memorable. Our private skippered sunset cruise was such a beautiful way to experience Hervey Bay with a small group of our closest friends, and a memory we'll have for the rest of our lives. Spending three days out looking for whales was amazing!!!!! Hervey Bay is the best destination for memorable close encounters with humpback whales, as they rest before heading back south to their feeding grounds. This whale sanctuary is a very special place on Earth, on our side of the world :) Joining the charter gives you a unique advantage, as you are not bound to a set schedule and can spend more time with whales.
