Front office staff, Shelly is very rude! I ended up looking for another Urologist
We LOVE Dr Franzoni. He has treated our entire family. Trust his judgment 100%. Wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. He is the best.
Great Dr. As usual with anything to do with Cape Fear, communication is the absolute worst.

I never got a visit. My physician referred me to this physician and all records were sent. They requested more records which were sent. I called the office a minimum of 4 times and they stated still looking at records. As a prostate cancer survivor, I take my health seriously. Never got a call back and ended up at Wake Med for a suprapubic line, a severe infection and now facing surgery in 8 weeks after they try to clear this infection.
He has been my urologist for several years and I trust him totally . I don't think he is in it just for the $, as he cares for his patients and makes sure his patients understand what is going on. I recommend him to anyone.
This office scheduled an appointment with my son well over a month ago. Most doctor office's give reminder calls before your appointment. This place did not. When I saw that my son had missed his appointment on yesterday and called to reschedule Dr. Appel refused to reschedule because of the missed appointment. Mind you this would have been the first time my son would have been seen. The staffing and the doctor were very rude even when I pointed out no reminder call was received. Unprofessional.
Very professional and congenial! Keeps you as a patient fully informed of all medical diagnoses and procedures...etc. Let's the patient make the decision(s) on what medicine(s)/procedure(s) they prefer (if any) based on his recommendation..etc. Highly recommend him for your urological needs!
He is caring, explains tests and is thorough with his care.
