Purchased a used outboard from here. It had a long list of things/maintenance stuff that was supposed to be done. I have had nothing but issues with it since putting it on the boat. Come to find out NOTHING that was listed was actually done. Plugs were fouled, VST wasn’t even touched, injector was clogged, fuel filter housing was cracked, tilt and trim is leaking, high pressure fuel pump needed replaced, and a coil pack was bad. Brian Franzen is the best!, Brian rebuilt our 2001 115 four stroke in 2011 and the engine is/has been running strong ever since..When Brian gave us the engine back after the rebuild, I asked and just how do we treat this engine now? His answer was run it. We have been doing just that for the last 8 almost 9 years and it doesn't miss a beat... total 2600 plus hours..Thanks Brian Charlie Crawford
My 150 Mercury had a serious problem. Brian sold me a used 2004 to replace it. They took my old engine off the boat, put on the replacement and tested it in Tampa Bay. It was all done in a week. The engine runs like new, and all gauges work. My boat cruises along like it's brand new. Brian told me to keep the old engine for parts (who knows what might happen in the future). Prop hub was crooked. Expensive motor and this is what I got. Don’t recommend them at all. Also sold and installed a rebuilt hydraulic steering kit that was 12 years old and sold to me as new. Already had to replace the helm after just a few months for a leak caused by them using the wrong fitting into the helm. I’d rethink using them.
Called Brian to bring in boat because I thought I had water in my oil. After I explained the problem, Brian suggested that it was gas not water and most likely caused by a stuck thermostat. He saved me a haul-out, a long trip, and a lot of money. I don't know of many other shop owners who would have done the same. Five Stars to Brian. Thank you.

Brian is very straight forward and knowledgeable. Wants to do the right thing at a good price is my impression. Performed a costly repair and voluntarily replaced other parts while he had it apart at a great deal. Will be my go to for motor work going forward.
