If you live in Pittsburgh and have never ordered from Frankferd Farms, I highly recommend it! 🌾 It’s not just for bakeries and restaurants. Their ingredients are top quality, especially the nuts — the freshest I’ve ever used. I make the most delicious homemade protein balls, granola bars, trail mix, tortillas, pitas, sourdough, and challah… and it all starts with their ingredients. I have been ordering from Frankferd for years, usually with no issues. My favorite for baking bread is the 50-50 Organic Bread Flour. I bake all of the bread we consume. A strange occurrence made me wonder if anyone else had this issue. Two 5 pound bags, Lot 240, ordered in Sept. 2024, caused failures. No other ingredients were different. Home bread baker here, I’ve been buying my flour in bulk from Frankferd for years now. Always excellent service and the most friendly people. They know their stuff when it comes to grains too. You won’t find better locally grown and milled flour anywhere.
