I have been going to him for years. Very friendly and listens well to you. Cannot say enough good stuff about him.

Dr Butman does not listen. He tends to prescribe more meds just to treat symptoms instead of focusing on the root cause. He talks over you. It could be misogyny, but as a patient it is frustrating to not feel heard. It feels as though he no longer enjoys his job at all. I've also witnessed him mistreating staff, which should've been my first clue. I need a doctor who possesses patience, listening skills, and continuous learning skills. That is not him. Steer clear. (The staff are exemplary, though, and I will miss them! )

I recently went with a family member to an appointment with Dr. Butman (who has been seeing him since he opened his practice) and the whole time I couldn't believe his manners. While he wouldn't come out and say anything rude, he was very condescending and disregarded any input or concerns that were presented to him. He failed to take into consideration other treatment or diagnoses options, and just wanted to prescribe more medications that ultimately would not 'fix' any issues at hand.
