Its woods and gardens are interspersed with sculptures by famous contemporary artists such as Sir Anthony Caro, Andy Goldsworthy, and George Rickey. It’s a beautiful house, in a very nice land. Wright never disappoints. The place is well maintained, with hiking trails within the garden.
I recently took my wife and 13-year-old grandson to see both Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. Being able to compare these great examples of Mr. Wright's Prairie and Usonian styles on the same day was quite interesting. Both presentations were done well by people who seem to like their jobs and feel a real bond with the homes, the clients and their architect, and the many tradesmen who worked tirelessly to build and now maintain them.
