Almost 5 months post surgery and still have excurciating nerve pain. If over 70 yrs old DO NOT be lured into having back surgery. My L4, L5 laminectomy left me in such pain that IV morphine wasn't enough. Spent 3 weeks in intense care simply to walk again. I was never educated on the possible ill effects, no communication with him post surgery and when finally had a post op visit was told, "you must be that one in a thousand that something wasn't right" We " might have pushed or pulled too hard" on the muscles. This Doctor is incredibly knowledgeable, super nice, polite and professional. I had been pushing for answers and care from a different neurosurgeon for months. Dr. Watch actually gave me information and shared his concern for the "kicking the can down the road" approach. He performed the surgery I needed the next day and did an amazing job. I could not recommend him enough for anyone in need of a trustworthy neurosurgeon.
