Terrifying. We had the same experience as Kevin Ryan. BEWARE of this physician. He made the same promises and assurances to my elderly mother and her family that she would be comfortable and painfree during the procedure. She made her decision entirely based on these assurances. Once in the cath lab - she realized that this was not the case and she repeatedly refused the procedure, begged for mercy, cried out for help. Been going to see Dr mcGeehin for 2 years and I’m very happy with his professionalism & kindness !!!
No analgesics or mild sedation given prior to or during Cardiac Catheterization. Despite asking for "something to relieve pre Catheterization jitters" and having been informed that Versed and Fentanyl would be given in the Catheterization Lab, there was NEITHER given. Once venous and arterial access was made, Dr. McGeehin and his associates simply plowed ahead.
