Excellent way to leave your vehicle and take the Metro into DC. We spent four days (2 weekdays plus Saturday and Sunday) and had absolutely zero issue parking in this garage and walking over to catch the blue line into the city. $4.95 to park here on weekdays if you use the Metro and present your card, and absolutely free on the weekend. On a side note, the DC Metro is absolutely fantastic and we used it to ride all over the city during our visit with no problems. Drivers beware: They make easy money off people who go into the parking garage by accident by offering no grace period and charging the highest rate possible. Once you go in, regardless of how much time you’ve been in there or circumstances, they charge you the full $8.95 with no grace period unlike every other parking garage. Customer service will deny any request for a refund. 1/10 would not recommend.
Gets crowded during weekdays, but convenient if you are heading to/from DC plus you have VRE connection. Avoid crosswalk as cars just run through stop signs and block lanes. There are no police to enforce traffic laws here. You will see fare evades and they will come up from behind you.
