Clean bed and towels. Old and run down. Stained walls and bath tube. There was a really bad chemical smell that may be covering up a musty smell. It was so bad we could not sleep even with a window open. We finally got up about 4am and left.
This is an older, well maintained motel with reasonable rates. I enjoyed a comfortable stay here while hiking in the area.
This has been my go-to, inexpensive White Mountains lodging for almost 15 years. I never leave Google reviews, but am shocked at the negative reviews and felt compelled to chime in. The rooms have always been SO clean and the owners so lovely and helpful! Outstanding location, too, and right next to the brook (my husband calls it that great motel next to the water). Everything about this place has been perfect. And I’ve been up here since the beginning of Jan til the 21st. Great location and great views. Nothing can beat it. Especially the price.
For a motel this was great. Room was clean, bed was comfy, and it was nice to have a microwave and fridge. Good find for a last minute ski trip, well-located.
