Kate was very kind, gentle, and seems knowledgeable but be SURE you specify any testing you do and do not want at this facility at the time of the appointment. If you do not explicitly state you do not want STD screening, they will order it along with your pap smear. I found out they did this to me one month following my appointment when I received a $776.50 bill from LabCorp for STD screening my insurance does not cover and I did not agree to nor do I have risk factors for. Had 2 babies through this facility delivering at the midwifery center in tacoma. I wouldn't go ANYWHERE else! I started in silverdale with a doctor, and I just wanted something more and this place was BEYOND anything I ever expected!!!!!!! The midwives were all amazing and was there every step of the way. Thank you for being able to offer something more than just a medical delivery. Both babies were delivered in birthing tubs and was able to stick to my birth plan. only because if this team and facility.
Really bad experience. They just don't care about patients. I went through my first pregnancy with them and every appointment was disappointing. There are no options for care in this area (Gig Harbor) so we're stuck with the worst. Constantly being pushed out the door with we could do this, but we don't have to excuse. And then they don't... My doctor didn't even recognize me at my delivery! My mind was blown. This was 100% terrible experience. I refuse to have my next baby here so we will move somewhere to find better peopl... read more
