I was referred here by my 6 year olds pediatrician for an issue with his ankle. From the very moment I said what we were here for and that we were checking in the receptionist had nothing but attitude, she sighed heavily when ever she asked me a question, like I was doing her an inconvenience by coming to my appointment. We waited 30 minutes past our appointment time, just to spend 5 minutes in with the doctor who said 'it's not bothering him now, so we'll just leave it alone, see you in 6 weeks. At this point in my experience with WestSound Ortho, I am very disappointed. Dr. Watters came highly recommended so when I had to seek out a second opinion about some hip pain, I called WestSound first. The wait time for an intial consult was 6 weeks - far longer than I would have liked. But given the personal recommendations, I decided it would be worth the wait. The facility itself is quite nice. What a huge disappointment! The Doctors are unwilling to fix simple trouble areas, not worth their time,they do not return phone calls as promise! Bedside manners are very poor, The nurse asst. gives unwanted advice that you didn't ask for, the schedulers seems to not know how to make appointment, the time seems to change ,with out you knowing that they change the time on your appointment. This place does not care about their patients ... its all about greed with them. First off their front off staff is rude and can't seem to understand if they can make an appointment on the top of the hour or at the thirty minute point. I had a 430 appointment and showed up at 405 and was told I was late ... they then informed me I had to reschedule (Hello some people work and can't do this time and again). I have been going here for years and while I like my doctor, the service and care provided is terrible. Every time I called for an appointment they could not see me until the next week, and I would always be on hold for at least fifteen minutes to make any appointment. Expect to wait around 20-30 minutes to even get back to an examine room, then wait for around another 10 minutes for a nurse, and then another 20 minutes for your doctor ( I often felt like I was forgotten) . I went to see a doctor and it seems like he was in rush!! he didnt even care if i was hurting or if i had any questions. he even told me that if i keep feeling bad then i should go to the hospital! next time id rather go to a freaking hospital than this clinic. the receptionists were nice but this doctor only cares about givin u a prescription n sending u to the hospital. take your job seriously!!! people dont go to a clinic to feel worse!
The pediatrics department here is excellent. Twice, I have called and gotten an appointment on the same day for both my daughters. We had a hiccup in the birthing area simply because my wife is allergic to several medications, and they were unsure exactly what pain killers she could take. Nonetheless, we came in with no prior notice and they treated us very well.
I have been a patient of Dr. Slightams for almost nine years. I have gone from being a full time Alcholic and sometime drug user and abuser to a balanced women. I followed through with Dr. Slightmans medical treatment and I can honestly say, I am so much more happier and I have not had a drink or drug in eight years. I still have bouts of depression and that is what controlled me and my behavior patterns.
