I’ve struggled with TMJ for a while, and when I brought it up to Dr. Shin, he immediately suggested braces—despite the fact that braces don’t actually correct TMJ. When I tried to explore other options, he abruptly jumped to recommending jaw surgery, which felt completely irresponsible and dismissive of my concerns. I can’t recommend Dr. Shin enough. He actually takes the time to show and explain to patients what’s he’s observing and is very thoughtful and intentional with his approach. The use of technology and images to engage patients and allow them to see firsthand into their mouths and “take inventory” really stands apart from other dentists. The office staff is also very kind and accommodating and I had the best teeth cleaning (zero pain or soreness after).
Hygienist is very rough during oral activity. Dr Shin recommended an exaggerated solution which made me feel uncomfortable. Sales push in every visit and each point of contact.
As a person who really dislikes dental work, and rarely writes a review online, I have to say Dr. Shin is an excellent dentist--skilled, caring and completely dedicated to his patients health--and comfort. I would have given six stars if it were an option.
I have to admit that I was so impressed by meeting Dr.Shin, a truly amazing and a kind person. He was so helpful and clear during my treatment for my bottom teeth implant. I have probably made like three visits to his office and the staffs are beyond amazing there. In three of my visits, I felt like my treatment was just a dream because it was so quick, without any pain and omg what an end result.
