I saw Heather and Dr. Shin at the office and I cannot even express how amazing my experience was. They were both so kind, so thorough, and I felt like they truly took their time to explain my options for addressing my concerns. Such a beautiful office and incredible staff all around. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for an intelligent and kind dentist!!
I’ve struggled with TMJ for a while, and when I brought it up to Dr. Shin, he immediately suggested braces—despite the fact that braces don’t actually correct TMJ. When I tried to explore other options, he abruptly jumped to recommending jaw surgery, which felt completely irresponsible and dismissive of my concerns. I can’t recommend Dr. Shin enough. He actually takes the time to show and explain to patients what’s he’s observing and is very thoughtful and intentional with his approach. The use of technology and images to engage patients and allow them to see firsthand into their mouths and “take inventory” really stands apart from other dentists. The office staff is also very kind and accommodating and I had the best teeth cleaning (zero pain or soreness after).
Hygienist is very rough during oral activity. Dr Shin recommended an exaggerated solution which made me feel uncomfortable. Sales push in every visit and each point of contact.
As a person who really dislikes dental work, and rarely writes a review online, I have to say Dr. Shin is an excellent dentist--skilled, caring and completely dedicated to his patients health--and comfort. I would have given six stars if it were an option.
