My pcp wanted to put me on a statin. I wanted more testing so Dr. Lally did a carotid scan and a CAC score. He said I wasn’t there yet for a statin but my pcp said in my chart that he wanted me on a statin. What! He did a EKG and he pointed at a spot on it and said that looks a little iffy. I’ve had two EKG since then which are normal. He scheduled a follow up 6 months later but with no bloodwork to see what my cholesterol numbers were.
