Totally understand the negative reviews, I have charged here many times (Maybe their best customer out here). I will say they had an outage a couple weeks ago and I had to use their 50kw chargers instead of the 200kw, here I am today not sure what to expect but glad to see they got the 200kw chargers operational again. This is called no man's land for a reason so im sure its hard to get their techs out here but it was good to see im back to charging at 140kw-150kw!!! Thanks!!

After several calls with the Francis Energy Customer Service Techs, I could not get any of the stations at this location to charge my car. The error code reported by my Tesla indicated the charging equipment was malfunctioning. I ended up having to have my car towed to Dumas, TX, the closest charging location. This was not easily done as many tow companies in the area cannot cross into TX without a TX tow license. If you are traveling in this area, charge stations are virtually non-existent. If you have a Tesla you need to have a CCS adapter or you will not be able to use the chargers.

7/14/25 UPDATE: I didn’t realize the chargers at this station ranged from 50 kW - 200 kW. Check the app before choosing one. Hooked up to a 200 kW and I’m charging at almost 500 mi/hr. ORIGINAL POST: Hey it’s no Tesla supercharger but it charged at ~160 mi/hr. FYI TESLA OWNERS: I’ve tried this charger multiple times in the past and it would never work. Turns out older Teslas (mine’s 2020 Y) need the CCS charging ability enabled. Just got it done in Dallas this weekend and tried it out when I got back and worked just fine.
