Dr. Arena has been my superstar oncologist for over a year now. He and his all star league staff from reception, administrative, nurses and phlebotomists… I know that when I am going to them I’m in good hands. They treat you with compassion, kindness, respect and professionalism. Ever take a big gulp of cold water on a hot day and just go …..ahhh? Well that’s what it’s like going to either of his offices. I was a patient of Dr. Arena's for a mere 6 months. I had a horrible experience being in his care. Dr. Arena dismissed all of my ailments and said that nothing was wrong with me. He yelled at me in his office on more than 1 occasion, he yelled at my other doctors over the phone, he gave me a diagnosis totally unrelated to hematology/oncology but failed to inform me what that diagnosis was, instead he told my other doctors what he diagnosed me with. My mother is a patient of Dr. Arena's. She was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer 4 years ago. Her radiologist told us years later that from her scans he thought she only had a few months left. Thanks to Dr. Arena's care she has been in remission for years and doing great. She is still with us because of him. He is an amazing doctor.
