Franca's is one of the best Italian restaurants in East County. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and welcoming, with a beautiful bar area that's perfect for enjoying their great Happy Hour specials. The food is consistently outstanding, from the pasta and pizza to the daily specials, and the drinks are always top-notch. My go to is meatballs and salad when im staying on track. The food is pretty good in theory. I ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo. I don't think they use fresh pasta, either way the pasta is mediocre. The sauce was on the bland side. The real issue is they will give you a few bites...it is very small dish for $20. I asked about it and the waitress just said that it is what it is. The chef/owner came over later and I mentioned I thought it was very small portion. I have only ordered food to go, but the service was fast and courteous. Everything is packaged so nicely, to keep hot food hot and cold food cold! Rigatoni was delicious. Pizza could use a bit more cheese, but thats just my opinion. Reasonably priced and homemade Italian!
