I requested a quote for a straightforward job: surveying my ½-acre square lot, surveying my neighbor’s L-shaped property, and creating a minor subdivision plan to carve out a ½-acre section so both properties become rectangular. Nothing complex. It took weeks to get a response, only to receive a quote of $14,500. At that point, it would have been more professional to simply say the project wasn’t a good fit. The delay and pricing felt like a waste of time.
