We rented the 24’ pontoon for a day out with family and friends, and it couldn’t have gone better. The boat was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for everyone. The staff at F.R. Smith & Sons was welcoming, helpful, and got us out on the water quickly. We made some great memories on Lake George and will definitely be renting from them again. Highly recommend!
We had an absolutely incredible day with Captain Tom from FR Smith & Sons in Lake George! From the moment we set out, he shared fascinating facts and local history about the lake and surrounding areas, making the experience both fun and informative. We had an amazing time on a beautiful boat on awesome Lake George. Scott and Co could not have been more friendly or helpful. They explained everything clearly and professionally. Would not hesitate to rent from them again.
$700 oil change. Response to FR Smith: Yeah, two hours travel time to a place you can throw a baseball too. Then there's the minor fact you took my boat without my prior knowledge or permission back to your shop. Must be 200 yards by water. Funny how no one wanted to discuss the bill when I complained? No return call, no response to email requests? So you wanna talk now? let's talk now. 2 hours "labor on site". $384 Handling $ 40 Environmental fee $ 30 Shop Fee $ 17 Service Boat fee $ 41
We had an absolutely fantastic time with F.R. Smith & Sons! We went out on a pontoon boat with a group of 10, including 4 kids, and it was perfect for us. The boat itself was really nice and looked relatively new, which made the trip even better. Our captain, Scott, took us around Lake George for two hours, and it was a really, really nice ride. Scott is a super nice guy and made the whole experience so much fun for the whole family. Highly recommend booking with them if you're in Bolton Landing!
