Unfortunately it forces me to give them a star. I would give them negative stars if I could. Do not go here. I brought in my cat to try and find out what was wrong with his eye. I was concerned he could lose it. I explained my situation and was given an appointment. As soon as I got there I was met with an intake person triaging animals. So if your animal is not extremely ill you are not allowed in. And even then I think they would try and make you prove it. This facility used to be available if a primary vet was no... read more

If I could have given them NO stars that would have been more fitting. We have had issues in the past, BUT as a specialty vet we had no choice. We brought our dog on a Saturday afternoon, for what we thought were stomach after nothing but a big run around process, we ended up taking him back 2 days later, no better almost worst and with a INVOICE of 2100. For nothing, they are no help. I had no confidence in this clinic in the first place, and again left with a bad taste in my mouth. I would never take an animal... read more

Very happy with my experience at the Fox Valley Referral Center for my recent visit for my 9.5 year old lab mix dog who had been having breathing issues for a week. Dr Springborn was very professional and communicated with me via phone throughout my dog’s visit. My dog is feeling much better a day after her visit. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely use the referral center again if needed for my dog!!! Thank you to everyone there for their help and expertise!

Our dog had surgery for a broken leg. After spending $6000 for the surgery, we had to bring her back twice because she was not getting better. They didn't do anything on first visit (1 1/2 hr drive), just said that a pin may have come loose and to bring her back in 2 weeks. On second visit they took an x-ray and saw that a pin was sticking out and irritating her, causing her to be in pain. After paying another $600 to remove the pin, we were simply told "that happens sometimes". One would think that if they knew that this d... read more

This place is the worst ever..if you dont wish death upon your animal. Do NOT bring them here. They paralyzed one of my bulldogs and a year later brought my other bulldog here for severe vomiting sleepiness. They complete miss diagnosis him, because I got smart waited until morning and got second opinion. They said if we didnt do the surgery he would die, for a blockage that wasnt even visible. Keep him there over night for respite care and charged us us over 700.00 dollars. Second opinion re-did the xrays and had 3 other... read more

Fox Valley Animal Referral personnel and friendly and always have a smile, the reason for this is they plan to empty your account. Everything is charged, surprising they don't charge for the use of a pen and is way over-priced. They recommend way too many, horribly expensive tests and load your down with extremely expensive meds with many available over the counter. A clean, up-to-date facility but one that this virtually impossible to afford. Very disappointed.

These people are the most insensitive bunch of crooks I have ever seen , bring in a poisoning patient and be made to wait over 2 hours before anyone would even see us meanwhile our poor boy was laying and soaking more and more poison into his system , then the money pressure starts , even though they knew our pet wasnt going to make it , they talked up his prognosis to us to make sure we stayed an extra couple days and another couple thousand dollars , after he inevitably passed , we got there and the front desk nurse just s... read more

Worst experience of my life. Went to FVARC despite the reviews, because our dog had a tumor and our regular vet did not feel they were able to deal with the cancer and surgery. MISTAKE! They were EXTREMELY cold & would not allow us to be with dog for an ultrasound. A non-invasive ultrasound! At our vet, the dog sat on my lap for the ultrasound. They told us that if we wanted to be with the dog for the ultrasound, we should go to Madison! Then, they misdiagnosed the tumor! They sent us home thinking the dog, who was act... read more

They had our Calli friday night into sarurday. She was very ill. They lost her and resuscitated her. They kept me informed about her all morning and afternoon the next day. Tests were all necessary to find her problem. She is a 5 month old tea cup yorkie. Thank gosh you folks are there 24/7. As my lil girl would have died.
