The place is inexpensive, but for the price you pay is what you get. There are nicer courses around the area that have higher rates, but nicer courses. The fairways had weeds spotted here and there and were not really as green and up-kept as I thought they would be, yet the greens are in nice shape. I bet if they liquid fertilized every 6 months i think it would be a pretty course. The course was in decent shape, and a good value for a Friday. The biggest complaint I have is the lack of water coolers on the course. After my round, I read a note in the restroom stating that the water coolers were removed for "liability and security" reasons. This is Texas. In June. I watched an older gentleman head back to the clubhouse on hole 14 with obvious heat related issues. I think not having water accessible on a 95 degree day would be more of a liability than not. Fox Creek needs to rethink this issue.
