I was treated by Dr. Abhishek Aphale at Fox Chase Cancer Center and developed a large seroma as a result of the surgery, requiring an additional surgery for removal. When I raised concerns, Dr. Aphale appeared unfamiliar with this complication and called in a surgical PA for advice. The conversation that ensued did not give me confidence, “Should we drain it?” (Dr. Aphale)”You can not put a needle in that until we get an ultrasound.”(Surgical PA) The ultrasound was non conclusive so I wanted additional testing I was met with... read more
