My wife and I had never been there and it's right down the street and we've, for many years, have wanted to give it a go. Pre Fixe menu, so my wife had the fish and for myself the steak. Fish was a nice size and good quality and my 4 tiny slices of Wagyu was tender and delicious but was so small. Food was good, service was great, wanted to like it more and when I saw the bill plus 20% plus a recommended option for an additional tip,,,,that tipped the scales. OWNER, PAUL JANSEN, IS AN UNETHICAL BUSINESSMAN WHO REFUSES TO UPDATE HIS PHONE NUMBER THAT IS ATTACHED TO THIS RESTAURANT, HIS CHILDRENS SCHOOLS, HIS ALARM SYSTEMS, HIS LIQUOR LICENSE, ALL HIS DEBT, PLUS MORE. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS REACHING OUT TO HIM HE STILL DOES NOT CARE TO SIMPLY UPDATE ALL HIS ACCOUNTS. WOULD NOT TRUST THIS MAN OR ANYTHING HE PRODUCES.
Very nice small restaurant. There is one seating per night, and only 3 employees, chef, server/manager, and a helper. The entire night was great from the first time we stepped inside until us leaving. We appreciated the intimate service and feel of the business. The menu was a 4 course style with a set price. Outstanding experience. Superb food, service and atmosphere. Easily the best meal we’ve had in many years. Chef Charles is terrific! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. This was our first time at Fourk; it will not be our last! Hands down the best restaurant in Lincoln. Very highly recommended!
