Four Star is one of the worst properties my husband and I have ever dealt with upon relocating to Denver. MAKE SURE you read the lease upon signing it, and even then don't expect to get your security deposit back in full. We got charged for things like re-keying, painting 12 walls, and cleaning fees after spending an entire 14 hours deep cleaning the place. Absurd overcharges upon leaving the home. We contacted a lawyer and he said that Fourstar's lease screwed us over in all regards, and that although the charges were clearly exorbitant ($4,000+ including electrical wiring replacement, replacing light bulbs throughout the house that weren't burned out, charging over $1,000 in labor in some cases for minor repairs, no contractor ever spent more than 1 hour at our house, yet we were charged exorbitantly for contractor labor.) I wish I could have put 0 Stars. They are an awful, deceitful company. They have been doing construction for months and just now added weekends to that. I work nights and am woken up at 8 am to jackhammering. They act with blatant disregard for their current tenets. I would never lease with them again -- I have expressed my concern and they say "We told you it was happening so there's nothing I can do." The quality of life in my current place is abhorrent.
I want to never rent from FourStar again, and as much as I love the apartment I'm in, I seriously have hated living here as it has meant dealing with FourStar. They will nickle and dime you! Some notes - you are not allowed to use the garbage disposals. (When they actually work.) No food, not even citrus peels, can go in them per FourStar. But they still charge the same rent even though you have a non-functioning garbage disposal. They do not care if the other tenants leave dog poop everywhere so if I walk outside (in the ... read more
