We had an horrible experience. Hired attorneys and filed complaints with DA’s office. Anyone on this thread who has had issues with Four Star should file a complaint with the AG’s office ASAP. They in conjunction with the Boulder DA’s office are investigating Four Star. Www.stopfraudcolorado.gov They hope to win restitution for complaintents

Despite knowing in advance the terrible reviews online and locally from word of mouth (we live in Boulder County) we reluctantly signed a lease for our son to rent from Fourstar with several friends. They have actually managed to exceed their terrible reputation. Last year living in the Block, our boys were repeatedly locked out of their apartment, including move-out weekend. The worst!! After allowing prospective buyers to come into my apartment during a pandemic I was 4 months later compensated with a WalMart gift card which I was told the so-called property manager would be there on 3 occasions and never showed. Now after losing the property to a new owner I have been charged $45 for a trip charge she claims she made. Since I am handicapped and unable to leave the apartment because of stairs where was I? Absolute worst rental company in Colorado. You will receive constant emails about items that do not pertain to you... including repeated reminders to pay overdue rent (even when you pay rent on time every month). Four Star is unresponsive to maintenance requests... repeatedly closing them out without taking any action. I wish I would have read all of of the overwhelming negative reviews about Fourstar management on the numerous sites, including the CU Boulder Parents FaceBook pages before I allowed my child to rent from them. I have rented with other companies for my other children in college towns without any issues. This company is awful. One excuse after another. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! They're super helpful when they're getting you into a property and from that point on it's a nightmare. Many fees, complicated and manipulative leases (and employees), unannounced or very late notification for walk throughs or maintenance visits, unresponsive and they do everything they can to sam your security deposit money. DO NOT RENT FROM FOURSTAR!! This property management company is so unprofessional. They will NEVER return your calls, NEVER return your emails, and will keep your security deposit for ridiculous reasons. I had my apartment professionally cleaned and they still kept hundreds of dollars for professional carpet cleaning (didn't have pets, no stains or anything), rekeying (we turned in all of our keys), caulking/weatherstripping the bathtub.
