Our room was 80 degrees the entire night despite the thermostat being set to 60. We got no sleep and sweat out all of our water. Great way to start our vacation- dehydrated and sleep deprived. Also, the phones in the rooms or hallways don’t work so you have to go all the way down to the front desk for any help. AND there was black hair all over the shower curtain (both me and my partner are blonde). The only solution for the lack of AC was to switch rooms at 4am. Call ahead of booking to make sure the Air conditioning works. The entire building had no air conditioning. It was 80+ degrees in my room. They said it had been repaired and that there’s no issues. That was a lie. It did not work the entire stay. Then the shower backed up immediately releasing all sorts of black hair into the shower that pooled up and wouldn’t drain so we couldn’t shower. The bathroom floors had hair all over them. The toilet was not cleaned and had previous fecal matter in it. I recommend ANYWHERE else.
The Hotel was nice, everything was decent. You could tell it was older, and changed slightly inside. Close to Tampa and activities. Restaurant had a good Breakfast. Only real complaint was the Ice machines on my floor hadn’t worked for a while, was a slight inconvenience for someone older.
I'm a Marriott guy, and I think this place works hard. (W/ that being said,,,if u are on an important date or special occasion, then u should save ur relationship and chose a place that costs a few more bucks. Tbh. 🧔♂️
The room was with bad smell as soon as I opened the door. I called the counter and they didn't switch me to another room, instead, they sent somebody with a can of spray, I still can't believe it. Also, the bathtub was clogged and the water didn't drain properly. Too expensive, not recommended.
