While I do believe their method/outlook/approach/way of teaching is good, they greatly lack the skills actually required to assist people struggling with addiction, depression or anxiety… I believe this because the people employed here to work one on one with you, do not hold the correct qualifications to do so. I stayed here for 3 weeks and completed a full program, while they do have good teachings in mindfulness/meditation/self worth - It’s hard if you get paired with a life coach that you don’t get along with or you are too different of people & in saying that it actually makes it a complete waste of time. The best money I have ever spent - it changed my life! Good facilities in a retreat style environment. The staff were all first rate and very helpful. I lost 16kg in 3 weeks with the good food, exercise and de-stressing. I would recommend this to anyone considering it. Conventional medicine wasn't working for me - I had been taking meds for years, and they helped by masking the symptoms, but never fixed the route causes. I went up to the retreat for a weekend workshop on stress and anxiety as well as to understand the fountainhead method. This workshop was a real eye opener. The fountainhead method allowed me to go deep in your thoughts and helped you find and understand the causes of stress, anxiety and depression. I cannot explain this amazing experience without an essay on it, but this retreat and the method is a real life changing experience.
I don't think I have ever come across an organsiation that is as badly run as Fountainhead. For a start, the grounds and facilities at this so called "retreat" are extremely badly maintained; over-run with weeds, black mould growing in the pools, cheap furniture that has seen better days, cockroaches in the dining hall...I could go on.
