I've been registered at this practice for almost 20 years and whilst it at times has been painful to get an appointment this isn't something that's limited to only this practice - I have family members and friends registered elsewhere and patient experience re appointments is a common complaint. However, where this practice stands out for me is the staff, particularly nursing. I'm not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this. I phoned the practice on the 20th of May to book for an appointment and was told the GP would "ring" me on the 3rd of June. I mistakenly phoned them on the 2nd thinking I had been forgotten about and then was told my appointment was the next day (the 3rd) which I quickly realised also but then they said they were rescheduling the appointment to the 20th because the doctors were poorly🤷‍♂️! Today I’ve been on hold three times, first time 15 mins second time 7 mins third time 5 mins, every time I was told I was 1st in the queue!! I said I’ve had to stop taking my blood pressure meds cos they are making me feel dreadful, my BP has gone up to 160/98 and I need to talk to go about new meds. Receptionist told me no gps are available for weeks and I’ve got to speak to a clinical pharmacist in over a weeks time!!
